Licensed Massage Therapist
Certified Myoskeletal Therapist
300 Hour Certified Reflexologist
I attended the Massage Therapy program at Space Coast Health Insitute in West Melbourne, FL in 2003 under Jody Stork, LMT. My practical massage requirements were completed on family and friends as well as on guests at several community events in Brevard County. In fact, I met my wife while doing massage during a fundraiser for the Kids Without Christmas charity event at Wickham Park.
Space Coast Health lead me to many event style massage gigs including working at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, the State Attorney's Office of Brevard County, Hoyman & Dobson CPA Firm, as well as several Teacher Appreciation events for Brevard County Schools.
At the same time, I did massage for several resorts along Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, and Satellite Beach including Ron Jon's Cape Caribe Resort under Massage by Morakot. I spent many hours poolside in a cabana doing 15 minute massages for visitors from all over the world coming in from cruise ships at Port Canaveral visiting the beautiful water park there.
I then moved to Tallahassee, FL with my wife to attend FSU. I worked for the Department of Children and Families as a Crime Intelligence Analyst for 5 years, completed my Psychology degree from UCF in that time, and did massage therapy part time for Massage Envy.
In October of 2013, I completed a 20 hour home study course developed by Erik Dalton, PhD, PT, LMT of the Freedom from Pain Institute, making me a Certified Myoskeletal Therapist: Posture and Pain Specialist.
Starting in October of 2015, I embarked on a journey into all things foot related by pursing certification in Western Reflexology from Nationally Certified Foot and Hand Reflexologist Sam Belyea, LMT at The Foot Whisperer Reflexology Institute. I've also taken classes in Thai Foot Massage, Integrative Reflexology, and advanced Kinesiology of the feet and ankles. On October 16th, 2016, I became a Certified Reflexologist, with extensive training in the Feet, Hands, Face and Ears.
My basic philosophy comes from a Christian upbringing and belief that to truly be a follower of Jesus, healing should be an integral part of my focus in ministering to people's needs, as it was in His ministry. I want to serve people who are in pain and can't achieve their goals- Sounds lofty, I know, but there's a lot I can do with my two bare hands to benefit people's lives and health in a huge way.
Aside from my passion for massage therapy, my wife and I are into food, cooking, dancing, traveling, music, trips to Disney and our greyhound/doby mix Peanut.
In 2014 we added the newest addition to our little family, Emma Grace. Entering parenthood has been a both a blessing and a thrill ride mixed into one!
